Football Recap: Stebbins Takes a Loss

If Stebbins was feeling good fresh off their 42-7 takedown of Sidney last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Indians were beaten by the Tippecanoe Red Devils 41-6 on Friday. The Indians have struggled against the Red Devils recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Tippecanoe's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Larkin Thomas led the charge by throwing for 186 yards and four touchdowns, while also rushing for 38 yards. Xavier Melton helped out on the ground, rushing for 83 yards and two rushing touchdowns.

Stebbins' loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Tippecanoe, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Looking ahead, Stebbins will look to defend their home field on Friday against Greenville at 7:00 p.m. The Indians will be up against the Green Wave's rather soft defense (which has allowed 26.5 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Tippecanoe, they are taking a road trip to take on Butler at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Aviators' defense has only allowed 11.8 points per game this season, so the Red Devils' offense will have their work cut out for them.
