Soccer Recap: Vinton-Shellsburg Comes Up Short

Vinton-Shellsburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Hudson Pirates. That's two games in a row now that Vinton-Shellsburg have lost by just one goal.

Vinton-Shellsburg's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Hudson, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Looking ahead, Vinton-Shellsburg will face off against Jesup at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hudson, they will take on Aplington-Parkersburg at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Aplington-Parkersburg will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Hudson surely won't give up without a fight.
