Georgiana came tearing into Saturday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Brantley Bulldogs, sneaking past 62-59. This was a revenge game for the Panthers: when they faced off against the Bulldogs on January 9th, they had to take a 67-56 defeat.

Brantley's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was CoCo Stamps, who went 9 of 19 on her way to 23 points along with six boards and four steals. Stamps has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 34 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Grimes, who went 7 for 14 en route to 18 points and seven rebounds.

Georgiana is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-9 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.5 points per game. As for Brantley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-9 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Georgiana Panthers face off against the McKenzie Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
