Football Recap: East Bladen Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, East Bladen couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They had to suffer through a 54-7 loss at the hands of the Tarboro Vikings. The game marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

It was another big night for Kamerin McDowell-Moore, who rushed for 125 yards and two touchdowns, and also picked up 60 receiving yards and one TD for Tarboro. McDowell-Moore was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 60 yards. Another back making a difference was Caiden Everette, who rushed for 83 yards and a pair of scores.

With the defeat, East Bladen broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-4. As for Tarboro, they pushed their record up to 13-0 with the victory, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.

East Bladen does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Tarboro, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Warren County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Vikings 9.5, the Eagles 11.6) so any points scored will be well earned.
