Basketball Recap: Jenkins Wins Going Away Against Windsor Forest

Jenkins had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 20-point drubbing they dealt Windsor Forest on Friday. The Warriors blew past the Knights 61-41. For the Warriors, this counts as revenge for the 71-49 win the Knights walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2024.

Dominique Johnson was a one-man wrecking crew as he posted 14 points and six steals. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in blocks (two). Jordon Massey was another key player, putting up 12 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals.

Despite the defeat, Windsor Forest saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kyln Pitts earned eight points along with seven boards and three steals. Another player making a difference was Jaden Thomas, who scored six points and six rebounds.

Jenkins now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Windsor Forest, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Jenkins wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 68-54 loss against Swainsboro on the 6th. As for Windsor Forest, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 45-41 defeat against Islands on the 9th.
