Volleyball Recap: West Springfield Spartans vs. George C. Marshall Statesmen
West Springfield proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by three) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the George C. Marshall Statesmen 3-2. That's more bragging rights for the Spartans, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
West Springfield wouldn't go down easily and took George C. Marshall into a fifth set where they got it done with a three-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 19-25, 22-25, 25-19, 15-12.
West Springfield found their leader in sophomore Sariyah Sadler, who had four digs and two aces.
