Recap: Delta Rabbits vs. Manti Templars
The Delta Rabbits's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They were the victim of a rough 77-51 loss at the hands of Manti. While losing is never fun, Delta can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked 105th, while Manti is ranked 29th).
Delta's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaytn Brough, who scored nine points along with three steals. Tate Topham was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with two steals.
Delta has been struggling recently, as they've lost nine of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season. As for Manti, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 14-4.
Delta will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Emery at 7:00 p.m. Emery will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Manti, they will head out on the road to challenge Richfield at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Richfield focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Friday.
