After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Northwest, Coventry was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They skirted past the Norton Panthers 8-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Comets have posted since April 13th.

Coventry has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. As for Norton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Coventry will square off against Streetsboro at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Norton, they will take on East in a tournament on Wednesday. The Dragons have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 19.6 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
