North Hagerstown had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. They took down the Smithsburg Leopards 80-63. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Hubs also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2024.

Joey Dorsey was a one-man wrecking crew as he dropped a double-double with 30 points and 11 boards. Brayden Cespedes was another key player, shooting 64% from the field to rack up 17 points and four steals.

Smithsburg's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, North Hagerstown will take on Boonsboro at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Smithsburg, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 74-44 defeat against Williamsport on the 11th.
