Basketball Recap: Metea Valley Comes Up Short

If Metea Valley was riding high fresh off their 57-33 takedown of Plainfield Central last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Metea Valley Mustangs took a 41-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Glenbard East Rams. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rams apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2015.

Metea Valley's loss was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Glenbard East, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 14-11 record this season.

Metea Valley has already played their next match, a 67-36 defeat against Waubonsie Valley on the 24th. As for Glenbard East, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 65-36 victory against Ridgewood on the 23rd.
