Baseball Recap: Bakersfield Comes Up Short

Bakersfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against the Centennial Golden Hawks, falling 10-0. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Golden Hawks this season, with their most recent loss being a 13-1 defeat last Wednesday.

Bakersfield's loss dropped their record down to 1-13-1. As for Centennial, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.

Bakersfield will take on Porterville at 9:00 a.m. on Monday. As for Centennial, they will square off against Kingsburg at 2:00 p.m. on Monday.
