Softball Recap: Chavez Comes Up Short

Chavez lost against West back in April of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Chavez came up short against West, falling 11-4. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Chavez saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jordan Billingsley, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Chavez's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for West, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Chavez is taking a road trip to square off against Garfield at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Chavez's pitchers better be ready for this one: Garfield has averaged an impressive 8.5 runs per game this season. As for West, they will be taking part in a tournament against Granada Hills Charter at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
