After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Johnson, Lumpkin County was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Commerce Tigers as they made off with an 8-2 victory. The result was nothing new for Lumpkin County, who have now won nine contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Lumpkin County's win bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Commerce, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.

Lumpkin County and Commerce will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Indians see the pitch they'll take on Union County at 5:30 p.m. on the 17th. As for Commerce, their break will end when they face Winder-Barrow at 5:30 p.m. on the 15th.
