Baseball Recap: Wayne County Victorious

While Wayne County put up some runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Clarksburg. The Wildcats walked away with a 5-0 victory over the Rockets.

The team relied heavily on Logan Davis, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Daniel Pike, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

The win got Wayne County back to even at 1-1. As for Clarksburg, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

Wayne County has already played their next matchup, a 13-1 defeat against Adamsville on the 24th. As for Clarksburg, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 12-2 victory against West Carroll on the 24th.
