Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Jocelyn Black and Taniyah Smith Lead Saraland to Victory

Saraland had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Hueytown Golden Gophers with a sharp 3-0 win.

Saraland was led to victory by Taniyah Smith and Jocelyn Black. Smith had three digs and two aces, while Black had four aces. Those four aces gave Black a new career-high.

They weren't the only good servers: Saraland was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 15 aces in three consecutive contests.

Saraland's victory bumped their record up to 33-7. As for Hueytown, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-17.

Saraland has already played their next match, a 3-2 win against Montgomery Academy on the 23rd. Hueytown does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
