Softball Recap: Ardsley Comes Up Short

Ardsley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Sunday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 11-10 heartbreaker at the hands of the Pine Plains Bombers. Even if the Panthers couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Ardsley's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Pine Plains, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.

Ardsley and Pine Plains should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps New York Rankings. The Panthers will take on Sleepy Hollow at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank advantage (91 vs. 448). Meanwhile, Pine Plains (ranked 164th) will meet Webutuck (ranked 370th) at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
