Basketball Recap: Mount Tabor Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Mount Tabor had to start their season on the road on Saturday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They were beaten by the Oak Grove Grizzlies 62-34.

Several Spartans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kate Ledgerwood, who posted nine points in addition to eight rebounds and six steals. Another player making a difference was Kayden Grayson, who had seven points and six steals.

Leading Oak Grove to victory were Cora Hadley and Emory Hodge. Hadley made all 6 shots she took for 14 points along with five boards and three steals, while Hodge earned 13 points. Those 13 points gave Hodge a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Hadley, who put up eight points and six rebounds.

Coming up, Mount Tabor will take on R.J. Reynolds in a tournament on Tuesday. As for Oak Grove, they will be taking part in a tournament against Forsyth Country Day at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Grizzlies will need to watch out since the Furies have now posted at least 55 points in their last three contests.
