Softball Recap: Holy Trinity Takes a Loss

Holy Trinity extended their losing streak to six on Friday, dropping their season record down to 4-8 in the process. They came up short against the Francis W. Parker Colonels, falling 17-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Tigers have suffered against the Colonels since May 11, 2017.

As for Francis W. Parker, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-7. That 17 run margin sets a new team best for them this season.

For Francis W. Parker's part, Lola Yee looked comfortable as she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over four innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Phoebe Josephson was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Izzy Sager, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.

Looking ahead, Holy Trinity will welcome Regina Dominican at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Francis W. Parker does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
