Basketball Recap: Heritage Takes a Loss

Heritage has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 48-43 heartbreaker at the hands of the Norwell Knights. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Patriots of the 53-41 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2025.

Despite the loss, Heritage still got an impressive performance from Lantae Cassel, who went 6-for-14 to rack up 16 points. Another player making a difference was Jaxon Feasby, who posted seven points.

Heritage's defeat dropped their record down to 14-5. As for Norwell, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-7.

Looking ahead, Heritage will host Jay County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Heritage's defense better be ready for this one: Jay County has averaged an impressive 54.5 points per game this season. As for Norwell, they will venture away from home to face off against Huntington North at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Knights' defense better be ready for this one: the Vikings have averaged an impressive 58.9 points per game this season.
