Basketball Recap: Methuen Comes Up Short

After flying high against Dracut last Tuesday, Methuen came back down to earth. The Methuen Rangers fell to the North Andover Scarlet Knights 50-46. While losing is never fun, the Rangers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 134th, while the Scarlet Knights are ranked 46th).

Methuen's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for North Andover, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Methuen has already played their next match (against North Andover), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. North Andover has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Tewksbury Memorial.
