Baseball Recap: Caprock Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Caprock was forced to take a big loss against Tascosa on Tuesday, they got the better of them on Friday. The Longhorns came out on top against the Rebels by a score of 8-5. This was a revenge game for the Longhorns: when they faced off against the Rebels on Tuesday, they had to take a 15-5 defeat.

Dezmen Molina was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He pitched 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Caprock is 2-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 4-10 otherwise. Molina was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2025.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Giovanni Barrientez, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Rafael Medina was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs.

The victory snapped Caprock's losing streak at six games and leaves them with a 6-11 record. As for Tascosa, their loss dropped their record down to 8-6.
