Basketball Game Preview: Wakeland Wolverines vs. Reedy Lions

Wakeland is 1-9 against Reedy since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Wakeland Wolverines will host the Reedy Lions at 6:00 p.m. Wakeland knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Reedy likes a good challenge.

Wakeland is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Turner: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Wakeland blew Turner out of the water with a 66-6 final score. The Wolverines have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 69 points the game before, Reedy was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They were dealt a 55-25 defeat at the hands of Highland Park. The game marked the Lions' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Wakeland has been performing well recently as they've won 17 of their last 20 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 22-5 record this season. As for Reedy, their loss dropped their record down to 18-10.

Wakeland skirted past Reedy 47-44 in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. Will Wakeland repeat their success, or does Reedy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
