Basketball Game Preview: Riverside Ram vs. Potomac Falls Panthers

The Riverside Ram will square off against the Potomac Falls Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Riverside knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 16 contests -- so hopefully Potomac Falls likes a good challenge.

Riverside is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They came out on top against Stone Bridge by a score of 77-70. The Ram haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Riverside to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brady Peterson, who went 6-for-12 en route to 22 points and seven boards. The dominant performance gave Peterson a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Ntiamoah, who almost dropped a double-double with 14 points and nine rebounds.

Riverside smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in three consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Potomac Falls beat Briar Woods 57-49 on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Riverside pushed their record up to 23-1 with the victory, which was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Potomac Falls, their win bumped their record up to 18-5.

Riverside strolled past Potomac Falls in their previous meeting on February 4th by a score of 74-58. Will Riverside repeat their success, or does Potomac Falls have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
