Football Recap: Chaparral Pumas vs. Centennial Huskies
Chaparral faced Centennial in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Pumas had to suffer through a 60-29 loss at the hands of the Huskies. The Pumas were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-14.

Chaparral lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Michael ( Kiko ) Farinas, who picked up 140 receiving yards and three TDs. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 103.2 receiving yards per game. Another player making a difference was Dane Weber, who threw for 355 yards and four touchdowns.
Leading Centennial to victory were Dominick Catalano and Malaki Davis. Catalano threw for 248 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 12.4 yards per attempt, while Davis rushed for 72 yards and a pair of scores. That's the most passing yards Catalano has posted since back in August. 86 of Catalano's passing yards were hauled in by Devan Parker, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.
Chaparral's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Centennial, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.
