Things were looking good for Clover Hill after they put the first goal on the board on Thursday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of Monacan by a score of 2-1. Clover Hill have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Cosby strolled into their game on Thursday with an undefeated record and they left with the same. Their defense stepped up to hand Powhatan a 5-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for Cosby, who have now won five contests by five goals or more so far this season.

Cosby pushed their record up to 6-0-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 17 goals over those three games. As for Clover Hill, they now have a losing record of 3-4-1.
