Softball Game Preview: Western vs. Forest Park Foresters

Western are taking a road trip to take on the Forest Park Foresters at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.

City College hit Western with a six-run second inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. Western fell just short of City College by a score of 9-8. Western has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Forest Park). They came out on top against Mergenthaler Vo-Tech by a score of 23-20 on Tuesday.

Western now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Forest Park, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-9.

Everything went Western's way against Forest Park in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, as Western made off with a 17-3 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Western since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
