Softball Recap: Mount Vernon Wins Going Away Against Mt. Baker

Mount Vernon made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Mt. Baker, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Mount Vernon put the hurt on Mt. Baker with a sharp 9-3 win on Tuesday. For the Bulldogs, this counts as revenge for the 11-1 victory the Mountaineers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2022.

The win got Mount Vernon back to even at 2-2. As for Mt. Baker, their record is now 3-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Mount Vernon is set to face off against their familiar foe Burlington-Edison at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Mt. Baker will square off against rival Anacortes at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
