Lake Forest dropped their record down to 12-14 on Saturday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Glenbrook South Titans, falling 11-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Scouts have suffered since April 19th.

Lake Forest saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bink Hartline, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

As for Glenbrook South, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-16 record this season. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

On Glenbrook South's side, Brady Ondrula looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Ondrula has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on James Dooman, who went 3-for-4 with four runs, one stolen base, and one double. Glenbrook South is undefeated when Dooman posts two or more runs, but 9-16 otherwise. Anthony Nottage was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lake Forest will welcome Libertyville at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. The Wildcats' pitching crew has only allowed 1.6 runs per game this season, so the Scouts' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Glenbrook South, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Glenbrook North at 4:45 p.m.
