Colony barely beat Lathrop the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Knights never let the Malemutes get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory on Friday. The result was nothing new for Colony, who have now won eight games by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Lathrop with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Avrie Geigerich (3), Sammy Gerteisen, and Asha Gerteisen.

The win made it two in a row for Colony and bumps their season record up to 10-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored nine goals over those two contests. As for Lathrop, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season.

Colony will square off against West Valley at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Colony are facing West Valley at the right time seeing as West Valley are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Lathrop, they will challenge Hutchison at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Lathrop will also cruise into their next game with the timing on their side: Hutchison will have lost three straight heading into Monday's contest.
