Softball Recap: Beal City Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Beal City, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Sunday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Lake City Trojans a 13-0 shutout on Tuesday. Considering the Aggies have won 15 matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Emily Taylor was incredible, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Lydee Salisbury, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

The win snapped Beal City's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 26-6 record. As for Lake City, they dropped their record down to 4-16 with the defeat, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Beal City will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Trojans: the pair will be back at it again later today.
