Basketball Recap: Imlay City Takes a Loss

If Imlay City was feeling good fresh off their 58-25 takedown of Algonac last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Imlay City Spartans took a 31-24 hit to the loss column at the hands of the North Branch Broncos on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Spartans of the 28-23 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Imlay City now has a losing record at 6-7. As for North Branch, they moved to 5-8 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Imlay City has already played their next match (against Croswell-Lexington), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. North Branch wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 29-23 loss against Yale on the 31st.
