Football Recap: South Caldwell Spartans vs. West Caldwell Warriors
South Caldwell had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the West Caldwell Warriors 46-14 on the road. The win was some much needed relief for the Spartans as it spelled an end to their seven-game losing streak dating back to last season.
Landon Borders had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 86 yards and two touchdowns.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, South Caldwell was moving up and down the field and finished the game with 459 total yards. That's the most total yards they've posted since back in September of 2023.
South Caldwell's defense stepped up as well, laying out Joshton Blankenship. three times. In that department, Bryce Johnston was the leader with two sacks.
