Preview: Ansonia Chargers vs. Kennedy Eagles
Ansonia is 0-8 against Kennedy since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Ansonia Chargers will head out on the road to take on the Kennedy Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Ansonia didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Derby, but they still walked away with a 48-44 victory. The win was just what Ansonia needed coming off of a 85-46 loss in their prior contest.
Meanwhile, Kennedy's six-game losing streak came to an end on Wednesday. They skirted past Watertown 60-58. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Ansonia's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Kennedy, their win bumped their record up to 3-6.
Ansonia might still be hurting after the 81-61 defeat they got from Kennedy when the teams last played back in February of 2023. Can Ansonia avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
