Football Recap: Alex Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Alex was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Cyril Pirates 56-6. While losing is never fun, the Longhorns can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma football rankings (they are ranked 42nd, while the Pirates are ranked tenth).

Kaisyn Reeves threw for 30 yards on four of eight attempts. Rhiley Landeros was his top target, picking up 26 receiving yards.

Alex's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Cyril, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Alex will take on rival Thackerville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Cyril is set to square off against their familiar foe Strother at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
