Softball Recap: Lawrence Takes a Loss

Lawrence was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 16-2 to the Andover Golden Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Golden Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 20-0 back in April.

Lawrence saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Angie Valdez, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Rose Estevez also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Lawrence's record now sits at 1-14. As for Andover, their win bumped their record up to 11-4.

Coming up, Lawrence will head out to square off against Dracut at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Andover, they will challenge Lowell at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
