After a string of four wins, Northwest Yeshiva's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They were beaten by the Summit Classical Christian School Archers 66-32. The contest marked the Lions' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Evan Kaufthal and Joe Benoliel certainly did their best on Wednesday to avoid the loss. Kaufthal went 5 of 12 en route to 12 points and six rebounds, while Benoliel posted 12 points.

Summit Classical Christian School's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Will Simon, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 14 rebounds. The game was Simon's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jake Gledhill, who went 8 of 19 on his way to 24 points and five rebounds.

Northwest Yeshiva's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-2. As for Summit Classical Christian School, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

Northwest Yeshiva will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Crosspoint at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Summit Classical Christian School, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 82-29 victory against Concordia Christian Academy on the 19th.
