Softball Recap: T.L. Hanna Drops Highest Score of Season Against Greenwood

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask T.L. Hanna). Everything went their way against the Greenwood Eagles on Friday as T.L. Hanna made off with a 19-4 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Yellow Jackets considering their one-run performance the matchup before.

Addison Sharp 2028 made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 5-for-6 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

In other batting news, T.L. Hanna got a massive performance out of Kendall Coakley 2029, who scored three runs and stole four bases while going 3-for-6. Callie Kinert 2028 was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 3-for-5.

T.L. Hanna is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.4 runs over those games. This is the second loss in a row for Greenwood and nudges their season record down to 2-5.

Coincidentally, T.L. Hanna and Greenwood will both be playing Hillcrest the next time they take the field. Greenwood will head out to face Hillcrest at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, while T.L. Hanna will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
