Recap: El Dorado Wildcats vs. Lakeside Rams
The El Dorado Wildcats suffered their closest defeat yet this season on Friday. They fell just short of Lakeside by a score of 48-45. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat El Dorado has suffered against Lakeside since January 29, 2019.
Lakeside found their leader in underclassman Mckenzie Williams, who scored 27 points along with five rebounds. Williams continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Allison, who scored ten points.
El Dorado's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Lakeside, they pushed their record up to 11-7 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home.
El Dorado will take on Lake Hamilton at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lake Hamilton presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than El Dorado in Arkansas (Lake Hamilton is ranked 33rd, while El Dorado is ranked 180th). As for Lakeside, they will head out on the road to face off against Benton at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
