Football Recap: Gates County Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Gates County lost against Holmes back in October of 2019 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Red Barons lost to the Aces at home by a 49-30 margin.

Despite the loss, Gates County still got an impressive performance from Robert Baker, who rushed for 111 yards and one score on only 15 carries.

Gates County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Holmes, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-4.

Gates County has already played their next game, a 36-22 victory against Manteo on the 17th. As for Holmes, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 56-30 win against Bertie on the 17th.
