Soccer Game Preview: Clarksville Academy vs. Creek Wood

The Clarksville Academy Cougars will venture away from home to face off against the Creek Wood Red Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Clarksville Academy has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with three straight losses, while Creek Wood will come in with three straight victories.

Clarksville Academy fell victim to Northwest and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They lost 9-0 to the Vikings. That's two games in a row now that the Cougars have lost by exactly nine goals.

Meanwhile, Creek Wood earned a 4-2 win over McEwen on Tuesday.

Creek Wood hit McEwen with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Matthew Seyler, Hayden Butts, Jack Burnett, and Ethan Mattio.

Creek Wood pushed their record up to 3-0 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored ten goals over those three games. As for Clarksville Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Clarksville Academy might still be hurting after the 25-1 loss they got from Creek Wood in their previous meeting back in April of 2021. Can Clarksville Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
