Football Recap: Deerfield Beach Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Deerfield Beach was the 7-6 winner over Everglades when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Bucks fell 20-7 to the Gators on Wednesday.

A big part of Everglades' win came down to the chemistry between Leilah Lewin and her top target Amber Beautelus. Lewin threw for 160 yards and two TDs while Beautelus picked up 65 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. What's more, Beautelus posted two receiving touchdowns, the most she's had since back in February.

Deerfield Beach's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-2. As for Everglades, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-3.

Coincidentally, Deerfield Beach and Everglades will both be playing Flanagan the next time they take the field. The Bucks will head out to face the Falcons at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Gators will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
