Baseball Recap: Hinton Gets the Win

Hinton posted their closest victory since June 4th on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley NIGHTHAWKS, sneaking past 5-4. This was payback for the Blackhawks, who suffered a 1-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Hinton's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-3. As for Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hinton will challenge Akron-Westfield at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley, they will venture away from home to face off against Sheldon at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The Orabs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.42 runs per game on average), something the NIGHTHAWKS will no doubt try to take advantage of.
