Preview: Flintridge Prep Wolves vs. Chadwick Dolphins

Flintridge Prep is on a seven-game streak of home wins, while Chadwick is on a seven-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Flintridge Prep Wolves will take on the Chadwick Dolphins at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Flintridge Prep's favor is that they have now posted big point totals every time they've taken the field this season.

Last Friday, Flintridge Prep faced Sage Hill in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Flintridge Prep walked away with a 47-34 victory over Sage Hill. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.

Noah Willingham continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 382 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 18.2 yards per carry, and also picking up 47 receiving yards. Willingham really tore up the turf during one magnificent 70-yard run.

The team's defense also helped out by holding Sage Hill to a paltry 98 yards. A big part of that defensive dominance came down to Flintridge Prep's ability to keep the quarterback under pressure: the team laid him out four times before it was all said and done. Sage Hill's QB won't forget Nico Chapman anytime soon given Chapman sacked him four times.

Meanwhile, Chadwick strolled past Windward with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 40-26. 40 seems to be a good number for Chadwick as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.

Chadwick's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Joshua Goodman, who rushed for 117 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries, and also picked up 40 receiving yards. Max Polin was another key contributor, picking up 96 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

The wins kept both teams' perfect 7-0 season records intact.

Keep an eye on the end zone in Friday's game as Flintridge Prep and Chadwick haven't had much trouble getting there this season. Flintridge Prep commands a daunting offense this season, having averaged 6.9 touchdowns per game. However, it's not like Chadwick struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.9 per game. With these two high-octane teams facing off on Friday, fans should be in for an exciting offensive matchup.

Flintridge Prep ended up a good deal behind Chadwick when the teams last played back in October of 2022, losing 44-27. Will Flintridge Prep have more luck at home instead of on the road?
