Softball Recap: Ludlow Takes a Loss

Ludlow had taken Chicopee down for four straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Wednesday. The Lions lost 17-11 to the Pacers. The Lions were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Pacers earlier this season, when they won 21-8.

Caitlyn Peczka made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Ava Peczka was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Ludlow's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Chicopee, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-6 record.

Coincidentally, Ludlow and Chicopee will both be playing Belchertown the next time they take the field. The Lions will head out to face the Orioles at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Pacers will host them at 11:00 a.m. on Monday.
