Millard North is a perfect 5-0 against Westview since September of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Mustangs will venture away from home to square off against the Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Millard North will bounce into Thursday's matchup after beating Millard West, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Mustangs came out on top in a nail-biter against the Wildcats on Tuesday, sneaking past 3-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

Millard North took Millard West into a fifth set where they got it done with a four-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 22-25, 27-29, 25-22, 15-11.

Hayden Sliva and Ava Whitmarsh were among the main playmakers for Millard North as the former had 32 digs and two aces and the latter had nine digs and two assists. That's the most aces Sliva has posted over her last seven contests. Marley Tracy also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assists of the season.

Meanwhile, Westview got the win against Omaha North on Tuesday by a conclusive 3-0. The win continues a trend for the Wolverines in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won five in a row.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Westview was: they took every set by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 25-5, 25-9, 25-14.

The victory got Millard North back to even at 13-13. As for Westview, their record is now 17-7.

Millard North was able to grind out a solid win over Westview in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, winning 2-0. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Wolverines have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
