Volleyball Recap: Warren County Falls to Franklinton in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Warren County kicked off their season on the road on Monday and hit a couple of potholes. They came up short against the Franklinton Red Rams, falling 3-0. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Red Rams recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-4, 25-8.

Franklinton's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Adalyn Smith led the charge by getting 22 assists and nine aces. That's the most assists Smith has posted since back in September of 2024. Another player making a difference was Whitley Jones, who had seven digs and five aces.

Franklinton now has a winning record of 2-1.

Looking ahead, Warren County will face off against Weldon at 5:00 p.m. on the 26th. This will be the Eagles' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Franklinton, they will venture away from home to take on Roanoke Rapids at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
