Northwestern Regional was the 3-1 winner over Suffield when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Highlanders lost 3-0 to the Wildcats on Monday. The Highlanders' defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

While Northwestern Regional ultimately came up short, they really made Suffield work, particularly in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-22, 25-21.

Devyn Kinosh paced Northwestern Regional's offense, picking up seven kills. Kinosh got some help from Madi Landi and her 13 assists. Sophie Stanulis controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Northwestern Regional's loss dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Suffield, their win ended a five-match drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-3.

Looking ahead, Northwestern Regional will be playing at home against Housatonic at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Suffield, they will head out to square off against Canton at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
