Recap: Tree of Life Christian Trojans vs. Bishop Rosecrans Bishops
It was a good run, but the Tree of Life Christian Trojans unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 52-35 bruising from Bishop Rosecrans. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Tree of Life Christian has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Tree of Life Christian still got an impressive performance from Mason Sanders, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 14 rebounds. The contest was Sanders' fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ronald Amoah, who scored six points.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bishop Rosecrans to victory, but perhaps none more so than Grady Labishak, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds. That makes it six consecutive games in which Labishak has scored at least 25% of Bishop Rosecrans' points. Another player making a difference was Tyler Burnett, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds.
Tree of Life Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 4-1. As for Bishop Rosecrans, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-2.
Tree of Life Christian will take on Fairfield Christian Academy in a holiday battle at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at. Fairfield Christian Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 652nd, while Tree of Life Christian is ranked 194th). Bishop Rosecrans will be home for the holidays to greet Bishop Watterson at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Bishop Watterson is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.
