Softball Preview: Abernathy Antelopes vs. Post Antelopes        
        
		
            Abernathy will take on Post at 7:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Abernathy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.5  runs per game  this season.
On Thursday, Abernathy got the win against Ralls  by a conclusive  16-6. The Antelopes haven't had any issues with the Jackrabbits recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive  victory against them.
 Mallory Gonzalez was a standout: she went 1-for-3 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and one  triple.  Bryer Cook was another key player,  going 1-for-3 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and one  stolen base.
 Abernathy was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .381. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a  batting average of .300 or higher in four consecutive  matchups.
Meanwhile, Post lost  12-6 to Lubbock Christian on Monday. The Antelopes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
  Saniya Sanchez made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went 2-for-3 with two  RBI and one  run.  Azuray Landa also deserves some recognition as  she  launched her first  home run of the season.
 Abernathy's win bumped their record up to 15-8. As for Post, their loss dropped their record down to 13-13.
Thursday's   game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Abernathy hasn't had any issues making contact this season,  having earned a batting average of .429. However, it's not like Post struggles in that department as   they've  averaged .450. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
