Volleyball Recap: Crestview Comes Up Short

Crestview was the 3-0 winner over Garfield when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Rebels fell 3-1 to the G-Men on Thursday. The Rebels have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Crestview ultimately came up short, they really made Garfield work, particularly in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-21, 17-25, 25-18.

Despite the loss, Crestview still got an impressive performance from Kerrigan Miller, who had 18 digs and two aces.

Crestview's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 12-1 and their overall record down to 16-2. As for Garfield, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 14-4.

Crestview and Garfield should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Rebels will face off against Salem at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday with a big rank advantage (94 vs. 505). Meanwhile, Garfield (ranked 245th) will meet Brookfield (ranked 510th) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
